Heather Matarazzo is the boy-shy Tweety, who self-medicates her insecurities
with a never-ending supply of ipecac.
Matarazzo took the independent film world by storm at the age of 14 when
she starred as Dawn Weiner, the brilliantly troubled adolescent girl in
WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE. The film was honored with the Grand Jury Prize
at the 1996 Sundance Film Festival and Heather received the 1997 Independent
Spirit Award for "Best Debut Performance." Her other film credits include
the current release SCREAM 3, DEVIL'S ADVOCATE, 54, CHERRY, COMPANY MAN
and the award-winning film A CHILDREN'S STORY. Her latest independent film
GETTING TO KNOW YOU, debuted at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival.
This past May, Heather starred in the ABC Movie Of The Week, OUR GUYS: OUTRAGE
IN GLEN RIDGE. The film was based on the true story of a young retarded
woman sexually assaulted by the high school football team and the trial
that followed. The New York Times called her performance "Outstanding."
Heather is currently in production on NOW & AGAIN, CBS's new fall series.
Heather's other television credits include roles on LAW AND ORDER and ER.
She also had a recurring role on ROSEANNE and TOWNIES, and she created the
role of Natasha on the Nickelodeon series THE ADVENTURES OF PETE & PETE.
